☕Starter Kit - Spice, Spice, Baby!☕

from $23.00

(4oz Bundle not pictured yet)

If you’ve ever interacted with Stephanie and Bryan in person, you know they always ask what your favorite tea category is: fruit, floral, spice, plain, or citrus. These are the teas they likely suggest if your answer is SPICE!

Spice is so much more than the banal, one-note cinnamon teas on common store shelves. No, spices and tea have been best friends for almost as long as tea has existed. Tea itself comes from some of the most diversely-flavored cultures on our planet, and the combination of these two friends is mostly represented in the form of chai.

Chai is Hindi for “tea”, and in the English language is typically synonymous with a tea base paired with a spice profile. However, there is A LOT MORE to it than just that! The tea base can be anything, and the spice profile varies greatly; often from kitchen to kitchen!

Chai is often paired with milk, not just for indulgence, but for health. Many of the beneficial compounds in spices translate to the body best on the back of a fat. So try a few different milks! We like lighter milks like almond or oat with the herbal chais, coconut milk with the White Chai, and any and all milks with Masala Chai!

Thus, this sampler is a great way to experience spice teas in many different ways.

This bundle boasts nearly the full spectrum of available caffeine content and dips into almost every genre of tea we have, so it makes an excellent first step into the hobby of tea. Spice also makes a very easy “on-ramp” to the broader tea world as it grounds the experience in flavors we recognize, and builds our confidence towards tea as a whole.

Each of these teas is sold separately on the website, in one-ounce and 4-ounce increments, but by bundling them together we offer a steep (get it? STEEP) discount!

Bundles can be found in one-ounce size (as in, a one-ounce of each tea described, 4 bags/4oz total) and four-ounce size (as in, a four-ounce bag of each tea described, 4 bags/16oz total).

One-ounce bags make 8-10 servings (about 8 mugs’ worth or one big pitcher), whereas four-ounce bags make 32-40 servings (many mugs and at least 2.5 gallons).

Try re-steeping the leaves a second time using half the water and you’ll get even more out of them!

(Note: Please don’t purchase if you are allergic to, or have had any reactions to any of the ingredients listed in these teas)
