Ganju Pu-erh
"Ganju" is Traditional Chinese for "tangerine", and speaks to the skin of this uniquely presented tea. Ripe pu-erh tea is stuffed inside a tangerine skin and aged for four years in that state. The flavor profile is wholly unique. Whereas you would expect a tea so dark to be sharp and bright, this pu-erh is smooth, malty, and posessing just a whisper of citrus. We recommend crushing the whole thing up in a large teapot, and enjoying multiple steepings throughout the day! Note: pu-erh has a high amount of caffeine, but the caffeine is reduced with each steeping until a miniscule amount remains.
Steeping Instructions:
Crush the tangerine into smaller pieces of shell, and place entire unit in around 5 cups of boiled water. Steep for 4 minutes. Re-steep with one less cup of water each time.
Ingredients (Note: Please don’t purchase if you are allergic to, or have had any reactions to any of the ingredients listed in this tea):
4 years old ripe puerh tea, tangerine
